I'm still hip deep in contractors and going bonkers--the fun part has not begun yet and I just heard the restoration process will probably take at least 3 weeks. Sigh. Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, yup.

Wish these threads reset automatically at the beginning of the month. But at least I remembered on the 1st this time.

I'm closing in on finishing Alice (to my regret, I want to stay there) and will go back to Henry and Wolf Hall.

Well, I'm not done but I am enjoying the somewhat shocking twists and turns. Was this based on a true story at all? There's an Author's Notes afterword but I don't want to read it til I finish.

I really like these people a lot--what's not to like, right?
