It plays like a movie Karen, with no episode interruptions that one usually has when watching a BBC series. In fact, I suddenly realized part way through that
it might not be complete on one dvd and panicked, but it's all there in one. If you like P&P, I think you'll love this.

I watched it as a mini-series, but I guess the DVD may be continuous. I felt at the end that there could even be a follow-up series........

I guess it's a popular title. I am number 13 in the hold list at the library.

Jane, I'll put this in a spoiler for those who haven't seen the Lost in Austen film yet:
Btw, I kept waiting for a cameo appearance by Colin Firth, sigh.

Sheepishly admitting when I speed-read the title, thought it was something out of Texas that I would pass up. LOL ... sounds like something I'd enjoy.

Jill, good point.
Colin Firth, I was looking for him too! Think he was asked to be in there somewhere ala Alfred Hitchcock? |

Well they did have Firth's picture on the computer when she pulled up P&P to show the other person what she meant. Just a lovely film.

We watched The Changeling last night. Angelina Jolie was wondeful in the role of a woman whose son disappeared and was given another young boy who police
claimed was her son. It's based on a true story and it's almost unbelievable. Worth seeing.

Off to HP in an hour, my son saw it last night and from what he says the movie ends sooner than the book so I'll have to see for myself. Also, I recall
reading that Deathly Hollows is going to be 2 movies, right?

Yes, Deathly Hallows (if that's the final book) is supposed to be two movies. I was told last night that DH Pt 1 will be released in Nov 2010 and DH Pt 2
will be released in July 2011. Someone had looked it all up and was reporting to us.

I saw a poster for The Time Traveler's Wife in the theater today. I might give it a try, maybe it will be better than the book. I couldn't finish the
book- it annoyed me. I also saw a trailer for Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr portraying Holmes. I am in love with Jeremy Brett as Sherlock so I
don't know how I'll like seeing a new actor in the roll. He looks quite scruffy and I have always had an image of Sherlock as fastidious. The movie
looks good though. Also, they are making a movie of "Where the Wild Things Are" and the monsters look just like the ones in the book.

HP is in my plans for a long weekend coming up (4-day weekend, because I took Monday/Tuesday off before a long stretch of really demanding work). SO, books and
movies and relaxation ahead. And HARRY!

Deb/Bee I saw a trailer for Where the Wild Things Are. The monsters are perfect. The Sherlock Holmes seems to playing slightly campy and with Holmes as very
fit and more combative than the books. I saw a trailer for the Time Traveler's Wife too. Hard to follow (since I hadn't read the book).
