Olle, I copied that from something I just saw the other day. But, I'm not afraid to use it if necessary!

Chris, the trick or treaters are coming knocking tonight. This is our first year in this house and I can already see carloads going across the street, they
must have a part for the adults while the kids go through the neighborhood. Good thing we got 3 costco sized bags of candy to hand out!

My mom requested that my daughter and my grandson spend the weekend with her because it has been so long since she has had a little one
around for Halloween and she wanted to experience trick or treat again. He is going to be dragon and he has been 'practicing' all week, sometimes we
couldn't call him by his name, "I'm not Zander, I'm dragon, RROOOARRR!" Hm , maybe we shouldn't have taken him to Where the Wild
Things Are.

awww that's so cute. One of my grandsons (London branch) used to dress up in superhero costumes all the time when he was about 4--so cute at that age.
What happens to guys that they think they should put on a team uniform/shirt to go to a sporting event? Do they really think that's cool? I have to laugh watching the stands at the baseball games to see all these grown up but out-of-shape fools in their Yankee pinstripes. (I don't mean tee shirts, I mean uniform shirts!!)

Hey, I wore my Yankee hat and my jacket to the game. It shows you're part of the "tribe."

Hats and jackets don't look dopey (to me). My pharmacist was wearing his Yankee jersey but it had number 7 on the back and he had it tucked in, so he could
get away with it (on Halloween) although he may have done it for the series.

We spent a week with dd and sil but it takes two days to get there and another two to get home again; it makes a long trip longer, doesn't it? Nope, no
cruise coming up; just a tour on buses and a train thru the mountains of central Chihuahua, Mexico to see Copper Canyon. It's supposedly bigger and longer
than the Grand Canyon but it's got trees etc instead of being a desert cyn. like ours is. Google it; it's gorgeous! However, Curtski doesn't think
I'll be able to connect to you via computer while we're there but I should be able to from San Antonio where Tucker lives. Mr Presto goes to "Camp
Donna" while we're gone. Our housecleaner lives about a block away from us and owns (get this!) five dogs, primarily Chihuahuas (para el estado en
Mexico) who are a similar size as Mr P and he loves it there! He has reluctantly started to play with several of the dogs and joins in now with them in all
their noisy activities. One of these trips, he may come along but so far this other plan works for all of us. It's such a long haul to get there with two 8
hour days driving. Ugh. I generally sleep and read while Curt drives as per his wish. Mine too. Driving thru West Texas has to be the biggest bore!!!
There's nothing to look at with flat landscape and not a darned thing there!
Go Phillies! (Am I the only fan here?) So far, it sounds like it's rained out tonight. Darn!

Is west Texas as boring as Nebraska? That would be hard to do.
Go Phillies! They've finally otten underway.

Sherry, you are ahead of us; we had never heard of Copper Canyon until our friend convinced us to come along on the tour with him. I've googled it and from
the pix, it looks wonderful so I have high hopes for the trip. You'll hear all about it shortly, I promise.

OYE!! nearly had a MASSIVE snafu at the dealership where I took my car (she was coughing and shaking -- double plus ungood); I was feeling pretty good that the
repairs weren't going to cost as much as I had feared, but when I went to pick up my loaner we couldn't find my current insurance card in my glovebox!
I was FREAKING.. for about half an hour I was trying to call my agent (before remembering it was Saturday and no one would be in the office), looking for a
functional 800# (no go)
I was up a creek... they told me flat out my car wasn't safe to drive and wouldn't be until they got the part and did the repair (Tuesday-ish), and they couldn't give me the loaner w/o proof of insurance. Just as I was on the EDGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN one of the guys comes in waving my insuance card .. "I found it!! I found it!!" (I suspect, but cannot prove that what happened is that they'd gone into my car earlier per my permission and pulled it out, had it in the office and forgot) Anyway, I'm driving a nice little vroom vroom but I WANT MY BABY BACK!! I'm used to her LOL |

Tom, The Badgers whomped Purdue 37-0, and we were all chilled enough in the 4th quarter we bailed out early and warmed up at the Memorial Union. The group hung
out until supper, then we were tourists on State Street for an hour or so, enjoying the Halloween costumes and music at Freakfest.

Thanks for letting me know that today/this morning was the time the clocks moved.
Saw a great photos of people in costume on State St. 3 guys dressed up like green army men! Hilarious. Instantly identifiable if you've ever played with them. Today is leaf raking day. I'm taking a break. Already have a blister from the rake. I'm such a wimp. Jenn, glad they "found" the card you needed and I hope they don't find anything else that's majorly wrong with the car once they get into it. The cutest of the cute trick or treaters were the very first duo. Two tiny little girls, one was a black kitty and the other was a princess. Welcome back Betsy and Curt, glad to hear your travels went well. It would be great if we had a transporter ala Star Trek wouldn't it? all that boring travel time would just be gone. |

Jodi, love the paypal idea. My nephew says this --- poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part. Sorry to hear about the problems,
sister. That gal sounds like a flake. Good job not responding.
Jenn, dealers sometimes tell women that their cars are unsafe to drive. They think we are car stupid. I once had to sign a form to be able to drive away. I never went back there. I am looking for a new place to have repairs done. It's not easy to find an honest shop. The dum guy at a coffee shop ask out my dd. Now she won't go back there because it would be awkward. This is going to cost the owner a few cups a week. Too bad too for dd because it has the best coffee on campus. Oh Betsy, 32 hours in the car! yuky. Bet your hiney is glad you are home.
