I was daydreaming about going to New Zealand, visiting Meg in Ireland, and going with Karen to Italy and thinking how much we enjoyed Curt's China photos.
So another of my slightly off-center ideas popped out.
Should we as a group project create virtual vacations for the group? We could each gather images of either our city/town or a vacation spot we go to and take a make-believe vacation together.
For example, Karen could show us the spots they're going to visit, Chris and Barb could point out the highlights of travellling in their area, Tom can show us Chicago, Betsy can take us to that famous book store etc. Same for all of us--get images on the internet or from our cameras and put them up with some narrative? Yuku makes it super easy (and free) to store images and I can explain how if you don't know yet.
The 2007 Book Bunch Summer Tour. If we can't afford to do it for real, we can use our imaginations and sense of fun. What do you think? Last year, bookmarks, this year, the world LOLLL
