Nope, Sorry guys but I goofed. I meant the new Dennis Lehane, "Any Given Day" which just came out. It's a stand alone, not a mystery. I've
just started and Babe Ruth, hung over and on a train from Chicago to NY, is hanging over the rail of the caboose losing his last meal, whatever that was.
(sorry guys!). I'll let you know how I feel about the book (not that scene) when I get further into it.
BTW, I'm clearing out books and at some point, I may make a list of books that I'm willing to give away. I plan to go to Bookman's first to see if I can get a credit there for some of them. I got a big one last time I did this. The money they're paying out for them is negligible but they will give big credits instead. If they don't take some, I'll list them for anyone interested. Deal? Many of them are signed firsts that I got from a different bookstore, other than my Mystery Bookstore near UCLA, that I really didn't like at all. Almost every month's book wasn't my taste so they're still hanging around, taking up valuable bookshelf space. No longer! They're going! And I guess it goes w/out saying that those aren't mysteries.
