4 out of 5 from me.
Definitely one of my 2008 favorites, especially the characters have really grown on me. Well-written story, a wonderful book for your holiday vacation.

I love that Deb--isn't it wonderful to be surprised?
I really enjoyed it but I don't know that it will stay with me as East of Eden has...so I'll give it a 3.75. Will definitely recommend it.

I thought this was really well-done, but I'm not sure it'll stay among the year's best. But, since I don't know, I'm giving it a 3.75 too,
just a hair under.

I give it a 4 - don't know if I will ever re-read it so I wouldn't say it's an all-time favorite, but I did love it.

Definitely a 4 - I just loved this but not quite enough to put it above a 4. I'm sorry I didn't get to read this with the group but sooo pleased I just
didn't skip it.
