Did the ending felt sort of anticlimactic after the many doings before the tide? I was sorry for Florence but also relieved she got to go 'her way' and at her time. Someone would have dragged her out of her house after the high tide got everything soaked, so it was good for her, as she saw things.
It was disturbing to think of him having to be the main caretaker for Florence--why didn't the Judge hire someone to care for her?
Anyway--I liked the biology and learned a lot that I probably won't retain but enjoyed picturing it.
