Speaking of knowing the taste of other BBers - Betsy, will I be able to read In the Woods without closing my eyes? I found a used copy and bought it.

Mary, from what I remember about the book I'd say yes. It's mostly looking for answers, not being drenched in a crime scene.

I am reading A Season For the Dead by David Hewson. I have had to close my eyes quite a few times. It is not much of a murder mystry because at the half way
point Hewson revealed the killer. Now it is just a matter of the detective figuring it out. Definitely not a "Cosy"!

"My B&N" | #27 | ||
|
Barnes and Noble has a new thing they've started called "My B&N". I think it's new because I just found out about it today in an e-newsletter from them. I've already set up a
profile there. Anyone else found or done this yet? The only thing I hope they change is the method of finding people's profiles to put on your personal
page under "favorites". As it is now, you have to go to "book clubs", then "communities", and then find the thread talking
about the new "My B&N" thing. Then you can see profile links showing in people's posts for getting to their profiles using that avenue.
I'm hoping they'll fix it so there's a faster, direct link from my own profile page to other people's, though. Just lazy, I guess!
I think it'll be kind of fun since I don't have any sort of blog of my own. It's pretty easy to set
up and has lots of categories, some for movies and music, too.

Know exactly what you're talking about since B&N is my source........ usually. It's right down the street next to Whole Foods. heaven. Haven't
joined up but since I belong to every blog in the English speaking world, I'll join that as well.
I really do need to retire. Really do.

I have an indie book store around the corner, a B&N 4 blocks away, and a second B&N about 8 blocks away. No Costco, and we've got the
"Amazon" tax now. Booo!!!! :-(

We have 2 libraries within walking distance (the reading room close to home and the county library 2 blocks away from work), and an indie, B&N and Borders
between home & work. Oh, and a 1/2 price UBS in walking distance from home. Costco is further away, but since that's grocery shopping headquarters for
us, I find it hard to leave without a book of some sort tucked in among the fruits and veggies. Poison indeed!

I actually get most all my books from Amazon.com or bookcloseouts.com. I love Amazon's "4
for 3" feature, plus their free shipping over $25. And the prices on bookcloseouts are very, very low, if you can
find what you want...which unfortunately I've had no trouble doing usually!
