Now, the book. Just finished it and still sorting out what I think. I found parts of it engaging, but easily put it down. I figured the 13th tale was what Vida was telling Margaret. Couldn't understand why Margaret was so distraught over her missing twin (unless it was her mother's subsequent hibernation and troweling on the guilt). Emmeilne was sweet and Adeline was mean.. other than that.. I think my favorite character was John the dig. I did enjoy the doctor's "cure" for too much romantic fiction: Sherlock Holmes!
