There are so many movies out now I want to see, like the ones talked about here. My MIL saw Doubt and loved it; said we have to go soon. I want to see the Brad Pitt movie too.

Thanks for all the support for Marley. To answer Jill, only parts of the dog-sitter scenes were "fact." But, really, the whole thing was true -- it was true to the entire spirit of what happened, even if the facts are not always on target. For instance, I did NOT leave the Grogan house in shambles, and Marley never chewed the furniture or even got on it while I was there. But he did chew up a good portion of the drywall in the garage and tear a hole in the garage door. He chewed through some smallish backyard trees, and I left them lying there, looking like a beaver attack. The folder of instructions is true (though I never used it). The mango stories are true. The dragging me around is partly true; he was a large dog, and heeled only part of the time. The shower scene and towel scene did not happen. And one more truth...I was out the door as soon as they returned from Ireland, but NOT for the reason they cite. I had stepped on a mud dauber the last day I was there, playing ball with Marley in the back yard. I'm extremely allergic, and could not walk (couldn't put on a shoe for two weeks). I was on my way to the doctor, and needed to leave because I was late. But ... that anxiousness to be out the door was captured in the book and in the movie! Oh, and the care that Marley gave, with Jenny and her miscarriage, with Jenny when she goes into labor, and with the neighbor who is attacked....that's another truth. I experienced that too, with my swollen leg. While I couldn't walk, Marley sat with his head in my lap that entire last day, occasionally licking the spot of the sting. OK, I'm done now.
