NINE was VERY interesting, I did like it, so did my family, it would be interesting to see if anyone else here sees it and what they
think, definitely a message in it. My grandson is 4, he was a bit scared in some parts but he liked it overall and wasn't scared enough that he wanted to
leave, so I wouldn't bring just any child- you'd have to know your child. If they are scared by Nightmare Before Christmas or Corpse Bride they
probably wouldn't enjoy this. This is also a Tim Burton film.

PBee, I'll definitely be seeing Nine when it comes out on DVD, glad to hear it was good. I thought it looked interesting in that weird sort of way.

A film based on Karin Fossum's novel 'Don't Look Back' is screenning here in the Italian Film Festival ...its called The Girl by the Lake,
however instead of being set in Norway its set in the Italian Dolomites, although the review assures that the movies captures the 'Nordic quality of
stillness and brooding subterranean secrets...' perhaps a visit later in the week.

I saw a preview for the movie, The Lovely Bones. Funny thing is that the book jacket description did not intrigue so I never read it
but the movie looks great.

The ds thought it was funny that their phones are attached to the wall with a cord. The twin beds were interesting too. :)

I checked my old vcr copy of a Town called Alice but on my screen it is a bit jumpy and a little faded. If anyone wants to take a chance, I'll be happy to
send it to you.

I watched the best movie last night Young at Heart. It is an documentary about a group of Massachusetts senior citizens who thrill audiences with their
unusual unusually poignant of rock songs. ]

Cierdwyn, I know what you mean, I think that is actually true in life too, I don't know why. Is it that 'bad boy' thing?

re: the "bad boy" thing - lived through one as a brother growing up, never could see the attraction. I'm always reminded of the old fable about
the maiden and the snake ("Oh shut up, you silly woman," said the serpent with a grin, "you knew... I was a snake before you took me in." -
with apologies to Shelly from Northern Exposure)

Watched "Milk" and "Young @ Heart" today. Thanks to Deb for the Y@H rec, I laughed, I cried. 'Milk' was good too, such a force in
such a time. Wow.

Funny thing, Olle, we have Milk to watch too but who knows when we'll get to it. We are pretty lax about that. Maybe tomorrow night?
