Question, late in Chap 13, p 244, what the heck is he foreshadowing with the "It was only much later that I understood..." and "I doubt that in the long run it would have made any difference" He's implied some similar things before but I had no clue.
I wonder if this is tipping him off to something about himself in the past or is he projecting that something happens to Cassie (ie she becomes a victim or commits suicide)? What the heck is going on?
