Before the chat I probably would have rated it higher. Now, I'll give it a 2.75 with the caveat that I might consider warning other readers about a certain
dissatisfaction many feel with the ending.

2. I liked the begining and really thought I would enjoy the whole book. Then Rob got on my nerves big time. Then the ending really ticked me off. With that
said, I'm surprised I still am going with the 2!

I feel exactly the same as you Debs, so I'm going with a 2 as well.

Deb, you nailed it. Much to enjoy that was overturned later. I was a bit more irritated though by the unedited meandering but even more by the lack of closure.
Not nice!

Greatness in this life does not come to people through accident or by the caprice of fate or fortune; it is the reward of great zeal accompanied by great faith in the object sought and the persistent fighting against great obstacles. --from eulogy for Harriet Tubman |

I am with most of you on this book. I really liked the beginning, but I was frustrated by the ending. I would rate it a 2.

I didn't finish, peeked at the end and didn't find it that satisfying. So my rating is 0

Finally finished! I'm going with a 2.5, pretty disappointing that the childhood mystery wasn't solved and a lot of extraneous pages.
