I have no idea, Chris. This is brand new news to me and it comes via my daughter -- and I didn't think to ask for details!

It means all of these things mentioned are still in play--lots of books to be shelved yet, not all the computers set up yet, etc.

It doesn't help that I can't wear tshirts to work right now--definitely having NZ weather with the HIGH supposed to be in the upper 50's F--too
cold for this time of year!

This is priceless! One of the guys who works upstairs, Andrew, went to Italy for two weeks. His co-workers -- actually, not just his coworkers but about half
the people in the building -- spent a good portion of the two weeks covering every single inch of his office with post-it note. And I mean every inch (the
only things not papered are the ceiling and the carpeted floor) -- the desk, the walls, the couch, the chair, the refrigerator, every slat of the window
blinds...
You can see it on You Tube. It seems a little long but Andrew's reaction when he returned is at the end: The Sticky Note Office

Oh that is too funny. It didn't occur to me before I clicked over that it would be color coordinated and so organized. My favorite was the smiley face on
the blinds LOLLL. I hope they helped him clean up!!

That is hilarious! Loved the lamp! And the whole thing was color-coordinated beautifully.

Actually, they're telling him he's not allowed to remove it... at least for a while. I think it took too much time to put it all up. So far I believe
the only things uncovered are his monitor screens and probably the seat of his chair.

Pb, it is a terribly horrible and sad story, isn't it. Terrifying too. Our hearts go out to all involved for sure.
After a few error messages I finally saw the office. Very imaginative! Karen, did you help? And what does he still have covered? So funny and so glad that never happened to me. :) Off to work at our Friends of the library book sale today, thought of you when I was helping to set out the books. Michael Connelly? Oooh, I know Betsy has read this one. Jodi Picoult? tom. Thought I saw a Jonathan Carroll...it wasn't but I still thought of Jill. About 6 books about the dog breed Boxers and there was Pb! :) |

How cute of you to think of us at the library sale! Books have become associated with various members of our small group haven't they? But psst; WHICH
Michael Connelly did you see? Don't leave me hanging, Olle!

So after a day of being violently (and I do mean VIOLENTLY) ill, I had to go to the dr and get an anti-nausea shot in my butt :/
The other thing isn't so dangerous but when you can't replace fluids... If the shot doesn't work I'll have to go the ER for an IV so think positive rehydrating thoughts |

Good grief Jen! Go get treatment at the ER! That's nothing to fool with as I'm sure you know! What, pray tell, brought this on?

Have no clue what brought it on.. no one around me is sick. All I know is last night at work I started to feel weak as water, asked to go home early... then
this morning around 7AM I started experiencing *intense* intestinal distress in all it's wonderful forms :x
I've been pushing clear fluids and nothing has come back up since the shot so don't think an ER visit will be necessary. |

Egad, Jen. I hope by now you're better. The only time that happened to me it was food poisoning.

Jenn, hope you're much better by now. Thank goodness the doc was able to find a shot to help.
Betsy, there were a few MC's and I don't recall which ones. Not the Poet..... I did manage to steer a woman towards Charles Todd as she was looking for books for her dh. She said he liked books with detectives and she thought he liked Kellerman (the male). So I found her a Todd and a PD James w/Dalgliesh for him to try. Branch out his taste buds a bit. For herself she had a pile of Janet E's and I really wanted to tell her not to bother and to check them out through the library but I resisted the urge. It wasn't easy! lol THis is the first time they banned people with scanners and I heard they pretty much just left. Why don't we just charge them $bigger bucks to be there? I don't know. I am not in charge of the library book sale and truly don't want to be.

Banning people with scanners? What type of scanners, Olle? Are there people actually standing there scanning entire books or something?
