Ok last year I promised to bookmark this idea for us so we'd have time to make arrangements.

I think I could handle this- just getting people to swap addresses, basically, right? A dollar limit is a must or are we going to do a
hand craft thing, does it have to be book related? That might be fun if it was. So maybe a handcrafted book related item that is mailable with a mail dead line
of....?

I would suggest going with the dollar amount--and something local instead as a few of us are not at all craft oriented.

my suggestion is even simpler...
dollar limit yes, handmade or not - your choice, book related or not - your choice (since we do both with the bookmark thingy). It'll be the holiday period, don't make me think too hard about this! :) |

Is Secret Santa supposed to be a direct swap between pairs of people or a random mix as we did for the bookmarks? I think I like the second type better, but
I'll go with the flow.
Will someone please offer to take charge of this? |

Ok, First- who wants to participate? send me an email, thanks.
Second- I'm going to put 2 deadlines in, one a join by deadline and then a mail by deadline. Please email me by November 13 if you want to participate and then please ship/mail your gift to the recipient by December18th. Third- Shall we keep the gift under $10 US dollars? Sometimes it's hard to find a decent gift under $5 so in my circle of friends we usually put it at $10. It would be kind of fun to have a theme of books or location of the giver's locale but this won't be a rule set in stone.Let's not identify ourselves until after our gift has been received, so send your gift with 3 clues about yourself and see if your recipient can guess who you are. Anything else we want to do? I'm negotiable. |

PBee, I just sent you a message via yuku. Let me know if you need something else. Also, won't a return address be one clue? :P
Thanks for taking this on. Sandra |

LOL Sandra's right about the return address--don't you have to put one on post-9/11?
I'm in, but I'll email you to make it official. Thanks for doing this. |

Pb, I sent you a yuku mail too. but I'm posting here in case I did something incorrectly, it didn't actually say yuku mail, it only said message and I
have no idea where that would show up for you.

Yes, Yuku mail me, and no, I didn't even think about the return address, I would make a terrible spy! LOL! Ok, so the return
address will be one clue, which for me is good, because I do n ot remember where you all live.

Actually, you could probably use a false address but the post mark would give you away. See what a criminal mind I have.

ROFLMAO...somehow the idea of you being devious is just so far from the way I know you all these years. LOLLLL

Ah but we could get even more devious. I could have a relative mail my package, or mail it while I'm on one of my work jaunts. So, beware, there could
still be some hidden treats in store. (Oh, I just realized .... that's what happened in The Girl With the Dragon
Tattoo...so it IS mystery-influenced!)
And, count me in. I mailed you, but I don't know if it went through. I can't be on the boards much for a while, but didn't want to miss out on the fun.
