When do you all want to do the nominations and voting? Should we wait until just after Thanksgiving to begin or do you want to start now? We won't be
reading anything as a group again until January anyway (after High Wind).
What do you think?

Just in case I forget: I would like to read Her Fearful Symmetry but it might be a bit too woo woo for some!
Amazon Best of the Month, September 2009: Following her breakout bestseller, The Time Traveler's Wife, Audrey Niffenegger returns with Her Fearful Symmetry, a haunting tale about the complications of love, identity, and sibling rivalry. The novel opens with the death of Elspeth Noblin, who bequeaths her London flat and its contents to the twin daughters of her estranged twin sister back in Chicago. These 20-year-old dilettantes, Julie and Valentina, move to London, eager to try on a new experience like one of their obsessively matched outfits. Historic Highgate Cemetery, which borders Elspeth's home, serves as an inspired setting as the twins become entwined in the lives of their neighbors: Elspeth's former lover, Robert; Martin, an agoraphobic crossword-puzzle creator; and the ethereal Elspeth herself, struggling to adjust to the afterlife. Niffenegger brings these quirky, troubled characters to marvelous life, but readers may need their own supernatural suspension of disbelief as the story winds to its twisty conclusion. --Brad Thomas Parsons |

Noo Noo we're no noming yet LOL. All I have to do is mention the word and books spring onto the page. We're deciding WHEN to nom.
Personally, I'd like to wait til next weekend to begin since things are so hectic here.

It matters not to me, especially since I have nothing in mind to nominate anyway. But, the day after Thanksgiving we're putting up Christmas trees and
decorations; the day after that is a spa day for me then I'll be doing laundry and packing because we leave on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
On the other hand, I think Betsy's out now and will be back shortly after Thanksgiving, right? And Sherry is out next week, too.

I still think using the book gives/gets on the Penguin site as our "genre" is a neat idea.
Sorry Jill, I didn't answer because either works for me. |

Anyone who has noms in mind but is going to be away is welcome to email them to me and I'll post them when we're ready. This time of year is always
tough for travel
