Dec 9 11 2:34 PM	So, what the heck is this? Finishing up before the Ten Years Ago section I'd nearly forgotten about Joseph Ek and his slaughtered family. In the past 100 pages or so it's become a totally different book focusing entirely on Benjamin's disappearance and leaving Joseph out. I have no idea what's going on and, frankly, I'm not sure I care.

Jan 1 12 9:40 AM	I'm not sure what chapter I'm on as I'm listening to it on a tiny playaway but I am so confused! Why the heck didn't the cops come to the house to see the crime scene where Benjamin was taken? why would the dad wait until the next day to follow up on the address? why wouldn't he call in support, even if from old retired cop buddies, when he had the address? there are more questions but that's what I have swirling in my head right now. Just don't understand. Now that I'm posting here and see how many chapters there are to go, whew! I may be about halfway. The dad just got hit by a car.

Jan 6 12 9:25 PM	I can't believe how this has changed! I got to this point and realised I'd become completely focused on Benjamin - what's going on with Josef? And what's with these strange children? Is there a link between Josef and these kids? But then Evelyn says Josef has always been strange and violent. But then these other kids are scary too - holding the little girl over the balcony, the boy that led Simone's dad to a strange apartment and made up that awful story and now he's been pushed in to the road by a little girl!! And now we're going 10 years earlier!! I'm trying to get this read by tomorrow for chat so on I go!! Barb
