I finished reading Calculating God last week and it was an interesting story. Very thought provoking. I also wasn't expecting that new species at the end. Do you guys think that baby will be the new God for the next universe or just that she will be the progenitor of the next God? For some reason, I just can't believe the universe would end in her lifetime, if she lives a regular lifetime of around 100 years and without any relativity affects.
Also, what do you guys think about civilizations destroying themselves X years after they discover nuclear weapons? After 400-800 years, would humans still be around?
At some point, I'm going to reread the book and post comments and questions that I have about each chapter. It might take me a while to get started, though.
