NOTE: this is a duplicate of the question I asked in Book Bunch, because I wanted to include the mystery readers who drop by and read this area.

Loving mysteries, I’ve wondered about this for a long time.

1--Do any of you belong to a mystery discussion group, or a group that discusses mysteries occasionally?

2—What makes for a good discussion of a mystery? What makes the discussion different than one for other types of fiction?

3—If you could read a mystery during the same two weeks as others, how would you want to discuss it? (eg, making guesses about who dun it or how as you go along? Or waiting il you finish and then…what?) What would make it the most fun?

4—Is it worth trying to discuss mysteries? Or do you just gobble them down and move on? Is there anything you want to talk about?

5—Should we maintain a whole separate area for the mysteries or set up an ongoing thread inside Book Bunch just for Mysteries I’m Reading. (The obvious advantage to the separate area is that we could have threads by type or author. The major disadvantage is: does anyone bother to visit the area, or are you more likely to comment where you spend most of your BCC time?)

So mystery readers…what do you think?

PS I'm off to pick up the latest Donna Andrews from the library reserves. LOL
